University Dining Automation System for Shomal University
The Shomal University Dining Automation System is a web-based PWA for online meal reservation and payment at the university cafeteria. Students view the daily menu, reserve and pay for meals, and manage their tickets and wallet from one panel. Paramis Tech designed and developed the platform in 2026.

Challenge
Challenge
Meal reservation at the university cafeteria relied on manual or mixed processes, which caused several problems:
- Long queues during peak hours
- No accurate view of remaining capacity for each meal
- Difficulty paying for and tracking meal tickets
- No quick reporting for management
The university needed a system that shows the daily menu clearly, controls the capacity of each dish in real time, accepts online payment, and works smoothly on mobile.
Solution
Solution
Paramis Tech designed a student panel and an administrative panel:
- Meal menu: Breakfast and lunch options organized by day, with prices, descriptions, and labels such as "Popular" and "Vegetarian"
- Real-time capacity: Remaining capacity shown for each dish, with reservations blocked once it is full
- Integrated reservation and payment: Ordering and online payment completed in one step
- Tickets and wallet: Management of reserved tickets and the student's account balance
- PWA: Installable on mobile devices and smooth to use without an app store
The backend was built with a REST API and a PostgreSQL database, and the interface was implemented with Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS.

Result
The system was developed in 2026 and prepared for use by students and dining managers at Shomal University. Meal reservation moved from a manual process to an online, transparent, and trackable one, and meal capacity is now managed automatically.
